The Best Alternatives to Owning Plants

We’re big fans of plants, not only because they’re beautiful to look at, but also because they’re great for your health. When you add houseplants to your home’s interior, you’re improving your quality of life.

Plants like orchids and succulents are the perfect compliment to humans. While we expel carbon dioxide every time we exhale, plants take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen. So when you place these plants in your bedroom, you’re helping to improve the quality of the air you breathe. Similarly, some plants release a lot of moisture, helping to balance out the air if it’s too dry.

But despite their many positive features, plants aren’t for everyone. From having pets and worrying about them accidentally ingesting a toxic leaf, to simply not having a green thumb, we all have our reasons for not investing in a good houseplant. If you still think green and want your home to reflect nature in some shape or form, there are a few fun workarounds you can try.

Below we’ve rounded up our favorite ways to bring nature inside, without actually doing so.
